On January 1, 2025, despite the light drizzle, the 2025 Flag- Raising Ceremony and New Year’s Day Blessing Reunion of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) was held in Carmona City, Cavite and attended by over 200 Taiwanese and Overseas Compatriots. The event was organized by the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines, Inc.

As the flag was proudly raised, Ambassador Wallace Chow, Madam Chow, and colleagues gathered together to celebrate the beginning of the year 2025 by waving the flags and singing the national anthem. The event was filled with joy and anticipation for a brighter future.

During the speech of Ambassador Chow, he emphasized the strong relationship between Taiwan and the Philippines in the year of 2024, with the advancements in trade, labor, technology, and many more. He also expressed his anticipation for even stronger ties in 2025.

In this event, Ms. Corazon A. Padierno, a board Director from the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) was also present and shared her hopes for a surge of Taiwan investments in the Philippines, particularly in renewable energy, modern agriculture, and innovation. This was truly a wonderful start for the year 2025!
