A businessman and his driver who were kidnapped were found dead in Rizal, according to a Filipino-Chinese civic leader on Thursday.
Teresita Ang-See also appealed to the public not to share photos of the bodies of Anson Que and that of his driver which, according to reports, were found inside a nylon sack in Barangay Macabud in Rodriguez.
Initial reports said the businessman was killed despite paying ransom.
Brig. Gen. Elmer Ragay was sacked as head of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group and replaced with Col. David Poklay, deputy chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, following the incident.
The Filipino-Chinese community news website Phhua.com reported that Que was kidnapped at a seafood restaurant in Pasay City on March 29.
