In an advisory, the NGCP said the Luzon Grid will be on yellow alert from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, indicating that the grid has thin reserves based on the difference between supply and demand.
The operating requirement stands at 11,274 megawatts, with the available capacity at 12,008 megawatts and a net operating margin of 369 megawatts.
The NGCP noted a total unplanned unavailable energy of 1,592 megawatts due to the forced outage of QPPL, SLPGC 1, SLPGC 3, SLPGC 4, GMEC 1, GMEC 2, and Calaca.
