AFTER days of intense rains due to Severe Tropical Storm "Florita", the state-run weather agency said on Thursday that the country may experience generally fair weather from today until the weekend.
Weather specialist Raymond Ordinario of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) told The Manila Times that only occasional localized thunderstorms are affecting Metro Manila and the rest of the country which may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon locally known as "habagat" is affecting the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon.
"The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, can expect generally fair weather maybe until over the weekend except for occasional thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening," he said.
Asked if Pagasa is expecting any weather disturbance in the coming days, Ordinario said that based on their forecast track, there would be no storm in at least the next four days.
Florita, which began as a low pressure area before it escalated into a severe tropical storm, left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday morning but not before bringing strong rains and winds to parts of Luzon.
