Parts of PH to have cloudy skies, rain on Monday – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Several areas in the country are expected to have overcast skies and rain on Monday due to the effects of a low pressure area (LPA) and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).

(Palawan and the Ilocos Region will be cloudy with rain and thunderstorms because of the southwest monsoon. Expect the afternoon and evening to be rainy.)

(The rest of the country meanwhile, is expected to experience isolated rain showers in the afternoon and in evening. Expect warm weather in the weather.)

Cloudy skies and rain are also expected in the entire Visayas, as well as in eastern Mindanao.

The rest of Mindanao will have relatively fairer weather with chances of isolated rain in the afternoon and in the evening.

Despite the presence of the two weather systems, no storms are expected to form over the next two to three days, said Badrina.

Gale warnings, however, remain raised over the seaboards of Batanes, Cagayan including the Babuyan Islands, Isabela, and the northern coast of Ilocos Norte.
