MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area that exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Thursday afternoon has reentered PAR.
In an advisory made public at 11:00 p.m., Pagasa said the LPA was last spotted 255 kilometers east of General Santos City.
“It is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and remains less likely to develop into a tropical depression within 24 hours,” it said.
Due to this, the combined effects of the ITCZ and the LPA will bring moderate to heavy rains over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga and Davao Region.
Meanwhile, light to moderate with at times heavy rains will be experienced over Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas and the rest of Mindanao.
